# FAQ

> Frequently asked questions about Driven: what it is, how Agents and Skills work, data and markets, paper trading, channels, plans, and how it differs from a chatbot.

Common questions about Driven. For deeper detail, follow the links into the docs.

## What is Driven?

Driven gives you a personal investing [Agent](/concepts/agents) with the power of a full team. It researches markets, pulls live financial data, runs specialized [Skills](/concepts/skills), remembers your strategy, monitors your portfolios, and executes scheduled tasks. See [What is Driven](/get-started/what-is-driven).

## How is Driven different from ChatGPT or Claude?

A general model gives you reasoning with no live data, no memory of your strategy, and no ability to work on a schedule. Driven wires a comparable model into 245 data endpoints across 28 categories, structured analysis workflows, persistent strategy memory, and automation. See [Driven vs general models](/why-driven/driven-vs-chatgpt-claude-gemini).

## What is an Agent?

An Agent is a dedicated investment workspace with its own context, memory, research, scheduled tasks, and portfolios. You can run several Agents for different strategies. See [Agents](/concepts/agents).

## What is a Skill?

A Skill is a pre-built investing workflow with a defined framework, data sources, and quality checks. Driven picks the right one for your question automatically, or you can invoke one manually. See [Skills](/concepts/skills).

## What is a Playbook?

A Playbook is the investment strategy for a portfolio — its universe, watchlist, risk rules, position sizing, and screening. An Agent can run several portfolios, each with its own Playbook. See [Playbook](/concepts/playbook).

## What is a Profile?

An Agent's Profile is its identity and standing preferences — personality, tone, investing style, and how it works for you — set when you create the Agent. The Profile is who the Agent is; a Playbook is the strategy for a portfolio. See [Create your first Agent](/get-started/create-your-first-agent).

## What markets does Driven cover?

Broad research coverage, with emphasis on US and Hong Kong markets and A-share support as well. See [Supported markets](/reference/supported-markets).

## Where does the data come from?

From 245 data endpoints across 28 categories, pulled live rather than recalled from training. See [Data sources](/reference/data-sources). You can ask any Agent to cite the data it used.

## Is the trading real?

No. Driven offers paper trading, simulated trades with virtual funds on real market data. It is for testing ideas and practicing, not for moving real money. See [Portfolio and paper trading](/concepts/portfolio-and-paper-trading).

## Can I use Driven outside the web app?

Yes. The same Agent is available on the web, mobile, Telegram, and WeChat. Quick questions and alerts work well on messaging channels; deep research and configuration are easier in the web app. See [Channels](/concepts/channels).

## Can I run scheduled tasks?

Yes. Agents can run briefings, monitors, and alerts automatically on a schedule, delivered to the web or a messaging channel. See [Scheduled tasks](/concepts/scheduled-tasks).

## How do I get better answers?

Be specific, ask for evidence and risks, name what matters to you, and iterate in the same conversation. See the [Prompt library](/prompts/overview).

## What plans are available?

Pro (\$20/mo), Max (\$100/mo), and Ultra (\$200/mo). All include the full feature set; higher tiers raise usage limits and unlock more Agents, scheduled tasks, portfolios, and models. New users get one month of Pro free when they sign up. See [Plans and pricing](/get-started/plans-and-pricing).

## Does Driven give financial advice?

No. Driven helps you gather information and analyze investments. It is not a licensed financial advisor and does not replace your judgment. You remain responsible for your investment decisions.

## Something isn't working

See [Troubleshooting](/reference/troubleshooting) for common issues, or contact support from inside the app.
